These sea kayaks have been designed by well known Sydney designer David Payne, originally for building on a jig. BoatCraft have developed the designs by converting them to a CAD program which enables all the panels to be laser or router cut to very high accuracy for stitch and glue construction. Boats can be personalised by adding hatch openings, rudders or skegs as required, for either long distance touring or shorter recreational paddling. Laser cut panels are supplied as part of a complete hull construction kit, which includes pre-cut premium light weight Gaboon marine plywood, timber for sheer stringers, Bote-Cote epoxy, fibreglass tape and cloth.
